Jerry Owen, 60, of Murray died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at his home.
Born March 23, 1949, Mr. Owen worked as a grocer at Owen’s Food Market until his retirement.
Owen is preceded in death by his parents-in law, Robert and Arlene Burkeen.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Burkeen Owen, to whom he was married September 26, 1969; two sons, Rob Owen and Jeremy Owen, both of Murray; his parents, Kenneth J. and Anna Mae Owen of Murray; two brothers, Ronnie Owen of Lexington, KY, David Owen, wife, Belinda of Murray; two sisters, Peggy Harrell and Paula Compton, husband Steve; of Murray, sister-in-law, Jeanette Morgan, husband, John L. of Murray and three granddaughters, Amber, Courtney and Trinity Owen.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Imes-Miller Funeral Home with Kerry Lambert officiating.
Visitation is set for 3-6 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. The family has requested that visitors dress casually.
