Daniele Travis, 43, of Dexter, KY died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at her home after an extended illness.
A 1985 Calloway County High School graduate, she was a production operator in the Float Feed Department at Briggs and Stratton for 22 years prior to her illness and of Church of Christ faith.
Mrs. Travis was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe Scarbrough and Hugh and Mary Shipley.
She is survived by her husband, Kenney Travis; two daughters, Ashley Burkeen (Josh) of Almo and Keisha Travis; her father, Billy Shipley of Hazel; her mother, Glenda Scarbrough Cunningham (Gary) of Murray; a brother, Kevin Cunningham (Amanda) of Hazel; a sister, Kara Young (Chris) of Benton; a grandmother, Jessie Evelyn Scarbrough; a granddaughter, Addyson Burkeen of Almo; nephews, Riley and Caleb Cunningham, and Dalton Young.
Services are scheduled for 10 am on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Heritage Family Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry Lambert and Bro. Darrin Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Brooks Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are David and Darren Bevill, Brad Moon, Curtis and Daniel Page, and Kevin Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie and Tony Travis, Scott Garland, Jim Cowart, Roger Parrish, Hallie Rushing and Vickie Cowart.
Visitation is 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Heritage Family Funeral Home.
