Dexter Wayne Scott, 51, of Murray died Monday, March, 24, 2012 at his home.
Mr.Scott was born September 30, 1960 and worked in construction most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Maxine Huntley Scott.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Susan Kay Scott; two brothers, Dellus Scott (Cindy) of Kirksey, and Shannon Scott of Murray; a sister, Ernestine Hudson (Gordon) of Burton, MI; two step-sons, Alan Hopkins (fiance’ Sandy) of Clinton, and Derek Hopkins (Emily) of Selmer, TN; and three grandchildren; Emily Winkler (Jessie) and Erik Hopkins, both of Benton, and Evan Hopkins of Clinton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Imes-Miller Funeral Home. Brett Miles will officiate. Interment will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
