Delbert Douglas Wood, 72, of Murray died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Western Baptist Hospital.
Born December 15, 1937 in Ullin, IL, Mr. Wood was a retired manager for E and L Transport in Detroit, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie L. and Mary E. Young Wood; a brother, Jack Wood; and a sister, Edith Payne.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Suzanne Wood of New Concord; two daughters, Susan Malik (Adam) of Lexington, KY and Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Wood of Murray; a sister, Helen Williams of Paducah, KY; and two grandchildren, Justin and Emily Malik.
Services are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday, June 29 at Heritage Family Funeral Home on 121 North in Murray. Bro. Ricky Cunningham will officiate. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Dongola, IL. Pallbearers will be Russ Taylor, Randy Taylor, Adam Malik, Ron Burnson, Mark VanDoren, Justin Malik, and Dan Taylor.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 – 8 pm at Heritage Family Funeral Home.
