Catherine Elizabeth Hughes, 84, of Murray died Saturday, February 20th at 4:00 PM at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Born January 8, 1926, she was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Murray-Calloway County Hospital until her retirement, a member of the Hazel Baptist Church and the WOW.
Mrs. Hughes is survived by four sons; Clifford Barker (Samantha) of Monterrey, CA, Tommy Marvin (Linda) of Prairie Farm, WI, Paul Nelson of Dallas,TX and Perry Nelson of Laporte, MN. She is also survived by three daughters; Patsy Walker (Tom) of Lancaster, NC, Janie Guizlo (Richard) of Memphis and Zandra Bond (Pat) of Chapmansboro, TN; a brother Charles Justice (Clare) of Lake George, MI and a sister, Velma Spence of Lake George, MI, Twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Hughes who died in 2004, parents Clifford and Alma Lucy Henderson Justice, one son Art Nelson, a brother Perry Justice and a sister Josephine Justice.
Services will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 24, at Imes-Miller Funeral Home in Murray with Bro. Tim Cole and Bro. Brent Lee will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
Visitation will begin at 8:00 am Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.
